The Wayne County affiliate, of Habitat for Humanity International, was incorporated in 1988 as a fully autonomous, nonprofit, tax exempt organization. The Board of Directors and Officers are a group of volunteers from many towns, various churches and civic organizations. The affiliate is responsible for its own local fund raising, and supports the work of Habitat International in other countries with a tithe of 10% of funds raised, unless requested to keep all of a donation in the county.

Our current building projects are: We will be building in the town of Sodus in 2008, finishing the current house and starting another. A house in Newark will be reurbed for a new family. Looking for land for 2008/2009 build site. If you have land you would be willing to donate, please call the office.
Board of Director meetings are open to the public and are held at 7pm on the 3rd Tuesdays of the month at the Williamson Reformed Church 6191 Bennett Street in Williamson off West Main.

Many affiliates are in the general area so projects are available at all times, some in the country, others in villages and Rochester.
